Senior Project Manager - High-rise Residential - Ottawa

Reporting to the VP of Construction, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the project, from project inception, planning, coordination, procurement to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for executing multi-story projects from pre-construction through to close out: safely, under tight deadlines, budgets and quality standardsLead the timely preparation of complete and fully coordinated drawings and specifications with the consultant teamPermit submission & municipal approvalsPrepare, monitor and control construction budgets and schedulesTendering, contract negotiation and administration of : professional consultants, subcontractors and suppliersManage the subcontractors, trades, site personnel and consultants during construction to resolve problems and track progressProvide and support active safety leadership on the projectAdministration of project communications, record keeping and filingCollection and dissemination of all final documentation, as-built drawing and technical manualsOccupancy, registration and turnoverFoster and maintain positive and constructive relations and communications with clients, colleagues, consultants and subcontractors

Profile

Senior Project Manager - High-rise Residential - Ottawa

Skills and Qualifications:

10+ years related experience in high rise construction and project management, with construction related education (Architecture / Engineering / Project Management)Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including MS ProjectBe an individual who thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities and can adapt to evolving situationsAbility to come in and own projects from start to finishSolid experience in project planning, estimating, scheduling, cost controls, project administration and contract management.Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, quality and project executionStrong interpersonal communication and leadership skills interacting directly with architects, consultants, contractors, trades

Job Offer

A basic salary of up to $160,000 (dependent upon experience)
